West Street Grill embraced the farm-to-table philosophy long before it became a culinary buzzword. When the restaurant first opened, James O'Shea would personally drive to New York's vegetable and fish markets to source the freshest ingredients available. This dedication to quality ingredients remains central to the restaurant's identity, with fresh fish delivered daily and locally sourced produce featured prominently.

This little gem on the main drag in Litchfield is worth the drive! From the owner James’ warm (and humorous!) greeting to the delightful amuse-bouche, the food prepared with such care, and friendly yet professional wait staff, our visit was just perfect! We live about 40 minutes away and are already planning our next time there!

We had an amazing Mother’s Day lunch at West Street Grill in Litchfield. The branzino was outstanding, the smoked salmon Benedict was perfect, and the Mexican shrimp cocktail with peasant bread was a great start. Service was warm and attentive - easily one of the best restaurants in Litchfield.
